PRODUCTION SPORTSKEEN AS MUSTONNEALE MUSTON in his Porsche 997 Cup car retained the NSW Production Sports Car sprint series title after winning 11 out of the 12 races in 2011.The Lotus Elise driven by Tim Mackie was the only car to beat Muston's Porsche over the season, winning the opening race in February. The minor places saw a great battle throughout the year between Michael Caine in a Mazda RX-7 and Mark Stinson in a Nissan Silva - both from Class B - and the pair swapped places throughout the four round series.Overall numbers were down for the Sprint Series, however the same can't be said for the CUE Clothing Endurance series with over 50 cars entered in the four round series.Andrew Miedecke and Jamie Augustine won the Bathurst race in a Daytona Coupe, while Neale Muston took the Eastern Creek round.David Mackie and Geoff Noble came out on top in a Lotus Elise at Morgan Park, while Ted Huglin and Allan Simonsen topped the Phillip Island field in a Lamborghini. The championship went to Robert Hay and David Raddatz in a Mazda MX-5 ahead of Corey Stevens and Geoff Marsh also in a Mazda MX-5.Arthur Magaitis, who shared his Lotus Elise from Class B with Ben Barker, Garth Walden and Angelo Lazaris, came home third outright.RW
